How is a Catalyst program different than a Yoga Class?

Catalyst merges the workshop format with specific yogic technology so that you have an *experience* of workplace wellness as opposed to learning just concepts that are quickly forgotten.

  • I'm not flexible; can I still practice the yoga part of the workshop?       top

This yoga is suitable for the most inflexible beginner. As long as you have a breath in your body, you can participate and reap the benefits.

Do we need special equipment?      top

Workshops can take place around a table with chairs. No special clothing or equipment is required. In as little as one hour, people wil leave this experience renewed, centered and energized.

Is Kundalini Yoga a religion?      top

No, Kundalini yoga is not a religion. It is a science and technology designed to bring the person into greater peace, alertness and Self-awareness. People of all faiths and beliefs can sit in the same class and benefit.

    What is Kundalini Yoga?      top

Kundalini Yoga is a very ancient technology of breath, movement, meditation and mantra. It is the yoga of awareness - you become aware of what is holding you back from reaching your full potential.

Kundalini Yoga heals your physical body, in particular your nervous system so you don't feel "edgy" and "out of control".

Kundalini Yoga gives you a relationship with your mind so that you can conquer negative self-defeating thoughts you have about yourself.

As you start to apply this technology into your daily life , you will feel a greater sense of well being, self-acceptance and courage to live your life fully .

What's with the turban ?      top

Historically, Turbans have been part of many spiritual practices. There is a science and technology to wearing a turban:

    • serves to wrap the 26 bones of the skull in place
    • protects your crown chakra or tenth gate
    • applies pressure on points on the forehead that keep you calm and relaxed
    • cover the temples, which protects you from mental or psychic negativity of other people
    • changes the pattern of blood flow to the brain so that you stay focused and clear

You can wear a head covering to achieve some of the above effects but not all.
